Experience 1000 Night Desert Camp stay

This hidden gem of our Desert Private Camps in Oman, Wahiba Sands Desert, hosts you with 2–3 elegant double-door tents and one Sitting Majlis.

Each tent is traditionally furnished with cosy beds, comfortable mattresses, soft bedding and traditional carpets, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere after a day in the desert. Each tent has its own bathroom with shower (not a heated one), giving you the comfort and privacy you need during your stay.

This setup provides a uniquely traditional, secluded experience that also offers an especially magnificent view of the sunrise and sunset. It is 20–30 km inside the Wahiba Sands Desert, surrounded by beautiful dunes and complete desert silence. The camp is completed with a separate sitting-room and own bathroom for each tent, making it ideal for a couple’s or small families’ private vacation.

In the evening, relax in your tent or gather in the Sitting Majlis, enjoy traditional Omani hospitality, and step outside to experience the incredible desert sky filled with thousands of stars.

Thousand Stars Desert Camp is ideal for a maximum of up to 9 people, and 2 extra tents can be added for small groups.

You can choose how you want to experience the camp. If you are looking for complete privacy, you can book the whole camp for yourself, your family or your group. You will have the tents, the Majlis and the desert surroundings all to yourselves.

If you prefer to meet other travellers, you can simply book one tent and share the camp with other guests. Your tent and bathroom remain private, while the common areas are shared.

Both options give you the chance to enjoy the quiet of the Wahiba Sands Desert, sit together in the evening, exchange stories and watch the stars. It really depends on what you prefer – a private desert escape or a more social evening with other travellers.
