With many years of experience and studies of our guests requirements and listen to their wishes, we had the vision to build something
EXTRAORDINARY-THE DIFFERENT
– we want the REAL desert experience
– AUTHENTIC tradition – not a tourist attraction
Guest satisfaction and to fulfil any of their expectations wasn’t the challenge , as our background is hotel and hospitality to understand customer care.
THE REAL CHALLENGE WAS, TO FIND THE RIGHT LOCATION AND TO FACE THE VAGARIES OF NATURE
A location,
- protected from the regular desert winds
- amazing dune view for sunset and sunrise
- easy to reach with camels
- hidden from main roads
- quiet and with privacy for our guests stay and relaxation
- enough far from the village to enjoy much stargazing with less light pollution
- still with a good connection to the bedouin community for safety
WHAT YOU CAN ENJOY NOW , WAS A LONGTERM-EXPERIENCE OF HARD WORK .
THE START
It took us more than 10 days to clean the camp ground from bushes and to level the area
Without our hardworking team, that place wouldn’t be what it is now…

All begun with the hard way to find the right tents.
Nothing suits our requirements, so we start to tailor them in a tent factory in Sharjah UAE.
First we ordered square tents and brought them from UAE in November, but the material shrinks from the heat of the sun and we couldn’t use them
We returned the tents and gave them a new order to tailor a new style of tents in the beginning of December 2016.
The work suppose to be finished after 10 days… but it takes much longer time…
What we get after 6 weeks….
2 wrong tailored tents with a to large roof and wrong windows
We brought them all the way back…
Again 7 hours drive…
To UAE and let them fix it on spot
In the meanwhile we fixed the Kitchen
And the MAJLIS
And the Toilet
And the Dining Area
On 13. of January the new tents arrived and finally get fixed….
We were looking for a round shaped carpet, but in Bediyah almost not possible
So we created own own carpeting 😉
And most important, we put stones around all setups to safe the tents, Majlis, kitchen and toilet from the wind digging out the sand
On 21. February 2017 we greet our first guest at Starwatching Private Camp
For the new season October 2017 we build a new washroom with natural stones and Areesh
What happen after ……
People start to copying our tents and setting up own camps after they saw our success
So…..
We tailored new tents in different style …… to stay outstanding ……
But after just 4 month….
STORM & RAIN at its best destroyed the new tents totally
WELCOME TO OMAN
WHATS AFTER ……
we remove everything ….
and cover the rest …..
and wait…..
to dry ……
And finally we rebuild in just few days ….
